Once you have installed this software, you will see that it is entirely minimalist, to the point that it does not have too many configuration options that we can tweak to have a slightly more personal experience. All we can do at first is select the color in which we would like the notifications that indicate the arrival of a new message to our Inbox to appear.

Let's suppose that we have received a new mail to the Google mail client that we have logged into this application. Well, then we can select one of the different available options. For example, we can enter our default browser to open Gmail or review the email's content without using the browser.

At this point, we have to say that when we tested the Chul Gmail Notifier, we found that it only detected the Google Chrome and Internet Explorer browsers. This is a problem because, at least in our case, when we wanted to add Edge, the new browser from the people at Microsoft, the system did not recognize it, and opening a browser when we already have another one open is too annoying.

What's the best thing about Chul Gmail Notifier? Indeed, we don't have to manually open our Gmail inbox or log in every time we try to check for new mail. At the same time, the system filters the mail that it considers junk so that we will not be wasting time when one of them arrives.

Suppose the original system of checking every minute of the Chul Gmail Notifier seems a bit exaggerated to you. In that case, you should know that you will be able to determine for yourself every time the program should check the Inbox of your accounts to check if there are new emails. You can modify this modification as often as necessary, according to your task, etc.

You haven't received any critical emails, but you still want to open your Inbox? You can do it without any problem since you have to right-click on the icon of this application and then select the Go to Inbox option, from which your Gmail account will open in just seconds, always in the assigned browser.

An interesting detail of this application is that we can synchronize more than one email account of Gmail, so we do not need to have only one pending notification but several works at the same time. Actually, and to be honest, this is probably the most exciting use we have found of this platform: being able to be notified from several Gmail accounts simultaneously.

Then, if you have many Gmail accounts associated with your Chul Gmail Notifier, you must place different notification colors on them. Otherwise, you will have no way of knowing which of them the notification belongs to because they do not offer preliminary information before opening the notifications. On the one hand, we have the absence of a feature, but on the other, we see that the developers have made up for it approvingly.

Finally, what about the program interface? Not much. We said before that this is an elementary program, which can be seen from every aspect, both from its number of options and visual appearance. Specifically, we find ourselves with a gray program, not very aesthetically pleasing, even when we had hoped for it because its Desktop icon is very nice.

In general terms, we can say that it is a small utility that those users who do not have their mobile at hand, who have more than one Gmail account, or who do not usually check their Inbox could be grateful for. However, if you typically keep an eye on your email user, you probably won't find it too helpful. However, there are no screen freezes or performance problems.

In our personal experience, Chul Gmail Notifier has turned out to be not very recommendable because although it is true that it notifies about the arrival of new emails, as its original idea, then we find that it has several shortcomings. Not being able to complement all current browsers is an almost unforgivable drawback. At this point, anyone finds out about their emails much more quickly by mobile than by this means.
