PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is one of the best games for consoles in recent years, and that's why everyone expected that there would be a version specially developed for computers from the beginning. We already have access to it on our computers, and we can find it under the name PUBG Lite, providing all the contents and some other exciting surprises.

As we were anticipating then, PUBG Lite is the adaptation of the recognized PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS to operating systems Windows, adapted in this case to the most basic configurations. It is, in fact, a variant of this battle royale that we can enjoy on all types of PCs without inconvenience, so you have nothing to worry about if your machine is not the latest model.

Operation

As you probably already know, this proposal invites us to participate in a battle royale in which about 100 players from all over the world face each other in real time in closed environments until only one is left standing. From the moment the game starts, you will have to move through the scenarios, trying to equip yourself with the weapons you find as you advance and evade enemy attacks.

The most exciting thing is that, as the game progresses, the probability of surviving is reduced since the game area in question starts to shrink, and then we will be almost forced to confront each other since there will be no other way out. The control system is the same as the original game version, so you won't waste time adapting to new mechanisms.

To execute all the character's abilities, move or eventually defend yourself, you can use both the keyboard and the mouse. Although there is a default configuration that we found comfortable, you can also modify it to your liking. This is not a minor detail if you are used to other titles that are controlled differently or if, for some reason, specific keys on your keyboard don't work. Of course, you can also connect and use controllers.

What maps are available in PUBG Lite? Well, we can choose from three of them: the forest-covered island of Erangel, the deep jungle of Sanhok, and the open desert lands of Miramar. Meanwhile, if you want to experience a completely different game mode, there is the so-called Training, where small groups of players can experience all the vehicles and weapons in smaller spaces.

Keep in mind

Although being a Lite version of PUBG, its requirements are not as many as those of other games, and we have to consider that you have to meet some basic ones, such as 4 GB of RAM, an Intel HD 4000 GPU, and 4 GB of hard drive to be able to play at ease. We do not know what will happen over time as other updates add content such as weapons or maps.

We are pleasantly surprised about the game's graphic quality since, from the first moment, we can see the care of the developers, both when we are customizing our characters and once the action begins. Wholly translated into many languages, which makes it easy to move between menus, the relationship between the requirements and the fun we get is remarkable, one of the best we've seen.

The best

Undoubtedly the best thing about PUBG Lite is that we are talking about a game that works, entertains, and will make us addicted to the computer screen. At the same time, we go through the scenarios, take the available weapons, and take care of the enemies. Being able to take this title on a laptop anywhere or always have it available at home for free is something that not all studios let us do. That is a positive aspect more important than any other.

The Worst

It's almost a detail considering how much we gain with the download of this game in terms of entertainment, but perhaps the delay until we can finally play it is too significant. There are several minutes, almost an hour, until we can start the games, which is understandable because of its large amount of content, but it is better not to lose sight of it if you do not have time to start with it.

Rating

If you usually play PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS on your consoles and enjoy it to the fullest, or if you do not have this type of machine, you should not miss a chance to give this adaptation of one of the best current titles. The transition from one platform to another is almost not felt, the controls are simple and customizable, and if that were not enough, the requirements are not harmful and within reach of most users.
