A multitude of programs threatens the integrity of the user's PC. These malicious programs can affect the PC in very different ways. For example, it can display unwanted ads while we're surfing the Internet, it can collect private information, or it can change the default search engine of our browser. To avoid this type of program is good to have a good antivirus or anti-spyware. Knowing what other users think about the suspicious program is also good.

Should I Remove It analyzes our system for all the programs we have installed on the PC and shows what other users think about them. That is to say, it displays a percentage bar, indicating the percentage of users who voted the program as malicious and thought it should be removed from the PC. The percentage bar has several colors: green indicates that the program can be considered harmless; orange indicates that we probably need to uninstall and delete the specified program; and red indicates that we should remove that program as soon as possible.

As we discussed, these percentage bars are created using the user's opinions, so sometimes, a harmless program can have a red bar. This is because we probably have installed a version of the program that creates some conflict or problem with the system, so users have voted that version negatively. We need to remember that the percentage bar that we see refers to the version of the program we have installed. If, for example, we have installed the program Prezi 2.0, and this version does not have any problem, we will see a green bar. Still, in contrast, if we have installed version 3.0, which has some problems, we will see an orange bar or red because the users have voted this version of the program negatively.

If we click on the name of any program, a piece of brief information about it will be displayed: version number, date of installation, and size it occupies on the hard disk. Also, it shows 2 buttons: “ What is it? ”, which will open a web page with information about the program, and “ Uninstall ,” which will launch the process of uninstalling the program.

In the section “ Settings ,” we can enable the option that allows this software to work resident in memory, so it can analyze all newly installed programs without the need to launch the program.
