TeboCam is a free surveillance application designed to automatically detect all the movements registered in your webcam to notify you in seconds. At the same time, the system takes a series of screenshots when it visualizes the movements, storing them in a directory so that you can later review them.

If you prefer, you can also set up some configuration options, for example, so that TeboCam offers you the possibility of sending these screenshots by e-mail or uploading them to a server-type FTP. This can be especially useful in cases where we are talking about remote surveillance that we want to carry out since we will always have access to those captures quickly and securely.

On the other hand, you have to know that when you want to use TeboCam, you can take advantage of any webcam you have in your home, although before, you should always take the trouble to calibrate the motion detection system. From the Train section within the application, you can make a test recording of about ten seconds, which will allow you to detect if a person is walking and also which sector of your home to monitor.

Active is another of the fundamental sections of this platform since it is in charge of checking the signal and looking for all kinds of movements. You will see that different indicator appear, showing you the movement threshold you have set and the point finally reached as a reference for you to consider. You may need to review your installations if the threshold is higher than the default.

How was our experience using TeboCam? It is acceptable, considering it can detect all movements in any corner of our house. The negative point is that it detects too many movements, which can become a nuisance if you already know that some of your family members will pass by the surveillance site several times. In other words, it is a system that is too sensitive to movements.

Beyond that, it is worth noting that the developers of TeboCam have indicated that they recently solved many of the operational problems that this application had, so if you had tried it some time ago and had not finished convincing you, it may be time to give it a new opportunity.

As for the main strong points we can mention about TeboCam, it should be noted in the first instance that we find complete information regarding all recorded events arranged in a kind of timeline. To that, you have to add that it can save frames of each one of them without losing sight of the fact that it is a program that does not require installation.

Of course, this application also has some negative points we did not want to fail to point out, among which we can emphasize that it does not allow you to save different configuration profiles, so we will lose time more than once. On the other hand, on more than one occasion, the program closed automatically at startup, and we had to start it at least a couple more times until it showed some stability.

In summary, we can point out anyway that TeboCam is one of the best alternatives in free webcam surveillance that you can access these days, taking into account that it is a portable option, which does not require installation, and that will allow us to obtain good information about all the movements that are made in those rooms that we have decided to protect in our home.

Finally, you have to consider that we can run TeboCam without installing the program but simply from the files downloaded inside the compressed file. This means that the system works the same way as any portable application, so you can carry it on a USB memory and run it on all your computers without any problems.
