Review The Ants: Underground Kingdom
Insect lovers experience the life of what it would be like to be an ant.
The Ants: Underground Kingdom is a strategy game in which you are portrayed as a worker ant. At the start of the game, you are introduced to the queen ant, who is forming her ant hill. Your primary function will be to create super ants, take care of the offspring and train the warrior ants to protect the queen from future attacks from other colonies.
The striking thing about this game is that you won't find heroes or aliens; instead, the characters are a great variety of insects, especially several species of ants.
The game, for now, classifies this variety of ants by color:
- Green: ants used for the production of strong ants.
- Blue: these are used to produce purple ants of higher rank.
- Purple: they are used as workers, so they are specially used for farms or to send to collect resources outside their nest.
- Orange: they are the strongest, ideal for forming your invincible troop.
Among the most outstanding ants in the game, we have the following:
- Blinking Ant: good for speeding up the production of the anthill; it focuses specifically on meat food.
- Red-legged Ant: this type of ant accelerates the production of the anthill, using the foliage surrounding them.
- Turquoise ant: able to concentrate more soil for the anthill.
- Orange spider ant: capable of enlarging the sand of the anthill and making it bigger.
- Dagger ant: mainly, it is the one that proposes the trade of the anthill with other insects.
- Fierce rebel ant: used to command the front line of battle since it reduces the damage caused by other enemy ants.
- Bullet ferocious ant protects your ant hill allies and causes significant damage to your enemies.
- Jack the horse ant: this type of ant has great attack power.
- Golden-shelled ant: specialist in melee combat.
- Thick-skinned fierce ant: specialist in ranged attacks, as they can shoot arrows and cause significant damage.
- Golden-curved ring ant: another ant specialized in surprise attacks with significant battle impact.
The Good
It is a game with an exciting and realistic design, so you will never get bored playing it.
The Bad
Something against that, I could comment, is that it is a "pay to win" type game system, which is somewhat disadvantageous for beginners since forming a great team will take a long time to get it.
