Have you noticed that you perform specific actions on your computer almost repetitively, many times a day? Although many people do not know it, some exceptional programs for these cases can record, register, and automate these tasks and then carry them out by themselves so that we only have to start them, saving us a lot of time.

And although there are many alternatives in this field that we could recommend, we want to focus on one that stands out for the low amount of system resources it requires: TinyTask.

Operation

In the first instance, we must point out that TinyTask is a small tool that hardly takes up any space in our Windows operating system and does not affect the performance of the computer, thanks to which we will be able to record and reproduce simple activities that we carry out in our computer so that we no longer have to be taking care of them.

Although each user will decide how to use TinyTask, one of the tasks for which this application is most commonly used is recording file transfers from one folder to another. Once you have automated this process, with the touch of just one button, the action will repeat, so in the meantime, you can do other things or enjoy the time saved.

We can go over some other actions we can automate thanks to TinyTask, such as opening or certain closing programs, opening specific windows or tabs, switching from one window or tab to another, typing in a new Notepad, etc. You can even record and automate keyboard key combinations or mouse movements.

On the other hand, we also know of many cases in which students or employees use this type of tool to download PDF documents that are separated sheet by sheet when they have large extensions. This software will make it much more manageable if you download one sheet at a time.

Another thing we liked about TinyTask is that we can save our recordings as separate executables of type EXE so that automation becomes as fast as possible. Even having stored them as independent executables, you will be able to share them with your friends so that they can also take advantage of them, although they will need to have this software installed.

When you want to record an action to automate it, you have to click on the blue button to start recording, then perform the step-by-step that you wish to register to repeat it more easily. Then, the red button will end the recording of the action, while the green button is used to start its playback.

If you want to use this platform to automate the downloading of images, we recommend that you do it from the browser Mozilla Firefox since it does not have messages or limits that can stop the process. On the other hand, in the cases of Google Chrome or Microsoft browsers, we find that downloads can sometimes stop.

The user interface of TinyTask is straightforward, to the point of seeming limited at many times, something that has to do with the spirit of the program since it is also thanks to it that it hardly consumes system resources. Beyond this understandable issue, we also believe that its developers could do a better job in terms of its aesthetic aspect since, at times, its aesthetics seems obsolete.

The best

If we had to point out some of the main issues we liked about TinyTask, we should start without any doubt with the low resource consumption of this application, which makes it perfect even for older computers. Besides that, we have the possibility of saving the information obtained in a file, as well as enjoying two playback speeds and even an executable compiler.

The worst thing

Of course, TinyTask also has some marked weaknesses, at least to our taste. One is related to the very few functions it offers, which somewhat limits our possibilities. On the other hand, adding some visual indicators would not have been superfluous, avoiding that we have to look for all the data almost manually.

Rating

In general terms, we can say that TinyTask is an application to record and automate our different actions on our computers. Even so, it can be helpful on more than one occasion. If you are not too demanding and, more than anything, if you have a PC somewhat limited in terms of power, it may be one of the few applications in this segment that work without problem on your computer.
