Twitter is undoubtedly one of the leading social networks in the world, one that has managed to maintain itself without the ups and downs of others, and has a loyal audience that usually considers it the best in its segment. However, one of the criticisms that have always existed about this platform has to do directly with its aesthetic aspect, not regarding its mobile application, but the web version, i.e., for computers.

As we were saying, we would like to focus on what has become, thanks to its clean and intuitive design, one of the best alternatives to Twitter today, at least until its engineers update the web version. Tweeten emphasizes the productivity of the user connected within the social network, and unlike the official system, it shows many more elements on the page.

It uses a content layout similar to Tweetdeck, based on a series of columns. All kinds of elements appear chronologically, such as the activity of those we follow, our lists, notifications, direct messages, etc. The advantage of this is that you can see everything necessary on Twitter directly from the main page, which the official client does not provide.

Of course, we also have a Search tool that allows you to follow specific topics, both by keywords and by adding the hashtags that are trending at the time and undoubtedly on screen. And if you still have not finished convincing, you should know that it also offers a search engine for GIFs as the possibility of storing them on the hard disk to send them to another social network or save them on the mobile.

Another feature that will surely interest many, especially those in charge of a company's social networks, is that it allows you to manage multiple accounts from a single interface, so you can have them switch from one to another without problems. And since it is being polished all the time by adding more and more features, some new feature has likely been left out of this review.

At the same time, some will be pleased with its option to download different content, such as videos uploaded to this social network, so you can enjoy them on your PC without needing an Internet connection later on. You will even have access to a series of keyboard shortcuts and filtering options for the absolute customization of your experience, so you will not feel uncomfortable.

Keep in mind

Although Tweeten's user interface is only available in English, if you don't understand English, this is not a serious problem when using the client since we can always intuit what each section and function is about. And if you are one of those people with a very definite taste for light or dark themes or you usually change them according to the time of the day, you can choose one or the other since there are both alternatives.

The best

Among the aspects of this software we liked the most; we can mention some of them, for example, the display of almost all the essential contents of Twitter on a central screen, passing the old-fashioned official design. Besides that, we appreciate the tremendous possibilities for customization of its aesthetics and content organization, as well as how useful most of these tools are.

The worst

This application has only those weaknesses that we can mention of any service that is not official, and that has to do with some instability that, in some cases, occurs from the purchase by the original company, as happened with Tweetdeck. However, to the extent that this does not occur, we do not find significant criticisms to make.

Rating

Tweeten is right now one of the best clients for the social network Twitter that you can enjoy for free on your computer, only having to put your username and password of one or more accounts to take advantage of it. It has all the standard features of this platform and several additions that you can configure to your liking so that you can demand a little more.
