The Gizmo Project was a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service that allowed users to place and receive calls over the internet. It offered free calls to other Gizmo Project users worldwide and low-cost calls to landlines and mobile devices through its Call In and Call Out options. The software could be downloaded on Windows, Mac, and Linux computers, enabling users to make and receive calls without a cell phone or SIM card. The application provided many features such as sound effects, real-time chat, call maps, online status, file sending, multi-network chats, among others. Gizmo Project provided excellent audio quality during the calls due to high-speed internet connections.
